As a Senior Game Developer at Piktiv, you will be leveraging your experience and expertise to boost and expand our current and future development efforts within our Game Development Services. You will be a part of a self-organizing development team, helping our client studios to develop their titles together with amazing colleagues.
Who you are
You love solving technical problems and always strive to improve your skills in writing great code. You are always eager to try out new technologies and expand your knowledge beyond what you are already familiar with.
As an experienced developer, you have a couple of published titles under your belt, and know what it takes to ship a title. Your experience positions you as a mentor to junior colleagues, helping them to grow and excel in their roles. Your ability to guide, inspire, and improve the team dynamic is as important as your technical skills.
You excel in understanding and addressing stakeholder needs and you are able to guide them through your proposed solutions with ease. You are used to working in a collaborative environment where communication is paramount.
Who we are
Piktiv is a Game Development Partner Studio, helping our client studios in any way we can. As developers, we are not afraid to tackle the really tricky engineering problems that need to be solved in order for a game to truly shine.
As a Partner Studio, Piktiv has worked with studios such as Coffee Stain, Iron Gate and Stunlock Studios and our client list is constantly growing. Our work ranges from networking, console porting, and optimizations, to feature development and improvements. We essentially provide a wide array of services to our client studios and let them focus on making their game.
We pride ourselves in being very organizationally lean; every development team is self-organized and finds the best way to solve their client’s problem.
Essential:
- At least 6 years of experience in the game industry
- Excellent programming skills
- Exceptional understanding of game engines, preferably Unreal Engine
- At least 1 shipped title on either PC or Consoles
Bonus:
- Portfolio of previous game titles
- Experience developing console games
- Experience with custom engines
- Experience with game porting
The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, on location in either Skövde or Örebro. This position is not available as Remote.
